Our Beginnings
Grandpa's Mower
For years, I asked my grandfather, “Please let me ride your mower! Please, Grandpa, can I ride the mower today? Please!”
Then, one day, at the age of 10, after I promised to pay attention to everything he said and to do a “good job,” I was allowed to ride my grandfather’s mower for the first time. He entrusted me with the cutting of his beloved and very large lawn.
The sheer excitement of riding the mower, the satisfaction of the completed outcome, the honor I felt from my grandfather trusting me to perform such an important ritual, and the smell of that fresh-cut lawn. All of these overwhelming feelings were created in me from something that others called a “chore.” Little did either of us know at the time, but he was planting the seed of the future of One Mow Co. A passion was being born.
From Passion to Enterprise
Sixteen years later, MCD Landscaping (our former business name) was born from that passion. It was created around the belief that every lawn and landscape that we had the privilege to work on should be treated the same way as I treated my grandfather’s lawn that one unforgettable day. Yes, now we have much more equipment than we did on that day, more knowledge, more experience and more than just one lawn to mow a week. Without following and using the principles and beliefs learned from that day, we would just be another landscaping company, which we never wanted to be.

We practice the fundamentals that I was raised on. We listen to our clients and care for their properties as if they were our own. We continually educate ourselves about our changing industry, and we push forward to provide a better service every year. We believe in a Great Job, not a good job. All of this is put together so that we can bring you a very high level of service with incredible value that you can trust and count on each and every time.
New Brand, Old Ideals
Based on this, we have changed our name from MCD Landscaping to One Mow Co, rebranding ourselves. We have made this step to show our commitment to you, our client, that we follow our core beliefs of continually pushing ourselves to provide you with a better service than ever before.
It was been 37 years since the first time I mowed my grandfather’s lawn and I still absolutely love the smell of fresh-cut grass. Our passion keeps growing.
